This year, the amateur astronomy seminar “Ērglis 2026” chose “Blāzma” in Puzes pagasts as its venue. During the three days, participants could watch processes in the sky, attend lectures, carry out experiments, and engage in creative activities of their own. The event was held for the 38th time, reflecting a long-standing tradition among astronomy enthusiasts.

The seminar’s programme was designed to combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. Attendees observed celestial phenomena and explored various aspects of the universe through lectures and experiments. Creative activities also gave them a chance to work independently.

“Blāzma” in Puzes pagasts became a meeting point for people sharing an interest in astronomy. The event drew participants who devoted three days to sky-watching and learning. It was the 38th edition of the seminar, and organisers continue to foster the amateur astronomy community in Latvia.
