Food Service: Listeria Found in Lithuanian Cold-Smoked Salmon Fillet
Latvia's Food and Veterinary Service is pulling a frozen cold-smoked Atlantic salmon fillet of Lithuanian origin from sale after laboratory tests detected listeria. Consumers who bought it are urged not to eat it.

During laboratory testing, the Food and Veterinary Service (PVD) detected listeria in frozen cold-smoked Atlantic salmon fillet produced in Lithuania. The service itself confirmed this to the news portal nra.lv.
The product is being withdrawn from sale.
Which product is affected
The recall covers cold-smoked Atlantic salmon fillet sold in 100-gram packs. The affected batch numbers are L0825-0828, and the product carries a use-by date of 27.08.2027.
Advice to consumers
The PVD asks anyone who has already bought this product not to consume it.

The service has posted notifications about the finding in the EU Rapid Alert System, so that the information also reaches the supervisory authorities of other countries.
