Radio Naba marks its 24th anniversary with a concert and tracks dedicated to Anšlavs Eglītis
Radio Naba has announced a concert, "Anšlavs. Vientulis un dzīrotājs", to be held on 11 December at the Gertrude Street Theatre in Riga. It honours the 120th birthday of writer Anšlavs Eglītis and the radio's 24th anniversary.

A concert event titled "Anšlavs. Vientulis un dzīrotājs" (roughly, "Anšlavs: The Recluse and the Reveller") will take place on 11 December at the Gertrude Street Theatre (Ģertrūdes ielas teātris) in Riga. It is organised by Radio Naba to mark two occasions at once: the 120th birthday of the writer Anšlavs Eglītis and the radio station's own 24th anniversary. The plans were announced by Radio Naba representatives.
Tracks already available
To give listeners an early look at the concert repertoire, several compositions dedicated to the writer have already been released ahead of the event. Anyone curious about the music that will be performed can hear them now.
The two most recent releases are the song "Brauciens rudens naktī" ("A Ride on an Autumn Night") by the group Aptiekas Bēru Ansamblis, and "Pūce-Skeptiķis" ("The Owl-Sceptic"), created by the artist known as DJ Krankenwagen.
About the concert
The title of the event points to the writer's personality and the works to which the programme is devoted. The announcement does not name the other performers, ticket prices or the start time, so those details are not yet known. Radio Naba may publish more information closer to the date.
