Raducanu quits practice; Wimbledon fitness fears grow
Emma Raducanu cut short a practice session and had her press conference cancelled, raising doubts about her fitness for Wimbledon.

Less than half an hour after leaving the court early on Saturday, it was announced that Emma Raducanu's scheduled news conference, set for about 16:00, had been cancelled. Wimbledon organisers said her media duties would be rearranged for Sunday. Even if Raducanu is fit enough to play Antonia Ruzic, her disrupted preparation does not bode well for the rigours of a Grand Slam tournament.
Since her fairytale US Open victory five years ago, Raducanu has been plagued by a series of injury problems. A viral illness meant she played only six matches from early February until the start of the Queen's tournament earlier this month. Reaching the final in London, where she lost in straight sets to Croatia's Donna Vekic, was a significant step forward. Raducanu showed the aggressive style of tennis she hopes to rediscover after reuniting with coach Andrew Richardson, who guided her to the US Open title before they parted ways. However, playing five matches in six days — the most she had played since February — has taken its toll.
