A new episode of the weekly foreign-affairs programme "Orbita" will air on the ETV+ television channel on Saturday, 10 October. The Russian-language show will examine three international topics: the fight against corruption in Ukraine, Latvia's recent parliamentary election, and the political situation in Spain after public protests.
What the episode includes
In the first report, journalist Anton Alekseyev will assess how effectively Ukraine is tackling corruption.
The second part is devoted to the parliamentary election in Latvia. It will ask why the prime minister's party won with a record result and what may change in the country. Erika Staškeviča, editor-in-chief of the news portal TVNET, will join the studio from Riga.
In the third report, Konstantin Sviridovsky will cover Spain. A housing crisis has brought people onto the streets, and the country is now heading for an early election. The programme will explore what Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez is counting on.
