Ram is bringing back the Rumble Bee name for the 2027 model year with three high-performance V8 versions of its 1500-series pickup, topping out at 788 horsepower. Sales begin late 2026, with US prices starting at $59,995.

Ram is preparing to revive its storied Rumble Bee nameplate for the 2027 model year, this time as a lineup of three street-focused, high-performance V8 pickups built on the 1500-series platform.

Three power levels

The base version gets a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 producing 401 horsepower and 556 Nm of torque. The mid-tier Rumble Bee 392 uses a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 delivering 477 horsepower and 617 Nm. The top-spec Rumble Bee SRT is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 — the well-known Hellcat engine — putting out a striking 788 horsepower and 922 Nm of torque.

All three versions come exclusively with the five-door Quad Cab body style and a shortened cargo bed. The frame has been shortened by 33 centimeters, while a wider track gives the truck a more pronounced muscle-car stance. A dedicated button allows drivers to disengage the front axle and run in rear-wheel-drive-only mode.

Performance-oriented features

The higher-output versions can be equipped with a Track Pack, which adds air suspension, a dedicated Track driving mode, launch control, and upgraded Brembo brakes. According to the manufacturer's development and testing targets, the Rumble Bee SRT can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h (60 mph) in 3.4 seconds, with a top speed rated at 274 km/h.

Practicality retained

Despite its performance focus, the truck retains its working credentials. Depending on configuration, the Rumble Bee can tow up to 4,032 kg, while payload capacity reaches 526 kg. All-wheel drive is standard across the range, but a low-range gearing option is not offered, since the model is primarily designed for on-road use.

The Rumble Bee name returns to the market after roughly two decades away, continuing Ram and Mopar's tradition of high-performance street pickups. Sales of the base version in the US are set to begin in late 2026, with the 392 and SRT variants arriving in the first half of 2027. Pricing starts at $59,995, while the range-topping Rumble Bee SRT will start at $94,995, excluding a $2,795 delivery fee.
