Blade Breaks Off Turbine at Rapsoil Wind Park Construction Site in Liepāja
A turbine blade broke off at the construction site of the Rapsoil wind park in Liepāja. The turbine is not yet operational, and the cause is being investigated by the company and the State Construction Control Bureau.

An incident occurred at the Rapsoil wind park construction site in Liepāja, where a blade fell off one of the turbines. The turbine has not yet been commissioned and remains under construction.
Liepāja Mayor Ansiņš has instructed the executive director to contact SIA Rapsoil and request a written explanation regarding the cause of the incident and future safety measures. The State Construction Control Bureau will also assess the situation.
The project involves installing 12 wind turbines along 14. Novembra Boulevard with a total capacity of 57.6 megawatts (MW). Each turbine tower is 82.5 meters high, and the total height with blades reaches nearly 150 meters.
According to Firmas.lv, SIA Rapsoil reported revenue of €30,508 last year and losses of €527,089. The company was founded in 2002, with equity of €35,175,246. Rapsoil is owned by the Lithuanian company UAB Enervia.
