The mouse gains two extra buttons on its side, and the multi-function trigger button has been moved to make it easier to reach. In total, there are 14 customizable controls, which may appeal to competitive players.
The device also uses the second-generation HyperScroll Tilt Wheel. It provides 24-step scrolling, rising to 48 steps in a precision mode. A free-spin mode is available for longer scrolls.
The optical sensor reaches 50,000 DPI, with 8,000Hz polling in both wireless and wired modes. RGB lighting responds to games integrated with Chroma, adjusting the lighting scheme to match what is happening on screen.
The battery lasts up to 275 hours over Bluetooth and up to 200 hours over Wi-Fi. The Basilisk V4 Pro is available now at $170.
Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed
The simpler Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed has a 33K optical sensor, a four-way tilt scroll wheel and free-spin capability. It offers around a dozen customizable controls and switches rated for up to 100 million clicks.
Its battery runs up to 225 hours on Bluetooth and up to 140 hours on Wi-Fi. The mouse is on sale now for $110.
