Real Madrid signs two-time NBA champion center
Spanish basketball club Real Madrid has signed a 31-year-old American center to a deal through the end of the upcoming season; the player won two NBA titles with the Golden State Warriors.
Real Madrid's basketball roster has gained a 31-year-old center who joined the club on a contract running through the end of the coming season. The player stands 213 centimeters tall and weighs 110 kilograms.
Over his NBA career he appeared in 293 games total, having played for the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz and Cleveland Cavaliers. It was with the Warriors that he claimed NBA championship rings in 2017 and 2018.
Across his NBA seasons, he averaged 4.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game.
Arrives from Puerto Rico
Jones joins Real Madrid from Puerto Rico's top-division club Bayamon Cowboys, with whom he won the local championship. Playing for the Puerto Rican team, he averaged 13 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game.
