Reebok's Comeback: Sportswear Brand Rolls Out Multiple Discount Programs
Since being sold by Adidas to Authentic Brands Group in 2022 for over $2 billion, Reebok has renewed its focus on sports and now offers several discount schemes for shoppers. The brand has also expanded partnerships with professional athletes and high-profile collaborations.
Reebok, the sportswear brand founded in 1958, has undergone several ownership changes over the decades and is currently experiencing renewed momentum. In 2022, Adidas sold Reebok to Authentic Brands Group in a deal worth more than two billion dollars. Since then, the company has refocused on sports and lifestyle products, appointed former NBA star Shaquille O'Neal as president of Reebok basketball, and signed numerous professional athletes across basketball, golf, and tennis.
The brand has also drawn attention through high-profile collaborations, including a partnership with rapper 50 Cent that produced the G-Unit G6 sneaker. Among its best-known footwear lines are the performance-oriented Floatzig and Nano X series, alongside the more casual Classic and Club collections.
Several ways to save
Reebok currently offers shoppers multiple ways to cut costs on its website. Its Buy More, Save More section, which includes more than 1,000 items of footwear and apparel, gives customers $10 off orders of $100 or more, $20 off orders of $150 or more, and $30 off orders of $200 or more when a discount code is applied.
New customers who create an account on Reebok's website or app and verify their email address can receive 15% off their first purchase. Frequent shoppers can instead join the Authentics Membership program for $5 a month, which provides a permanent 10% discount, free shipping, and early access to new product launches and other perks.
A separate program offers a 30% discount to students, educators, military members, veterans, first responders, and healthcare workers, who must verify their eligibility through ID.me. According to Reebok, these discounts can be combined with seasonal sales, where select items are discounted by as much as 65%.
