Youth Hockey in Latvian Regions: Expensive for Parents, But Coaches Find Solutions

The development of youth hockey in Latvia's regions is increasingly influenced by the demographic situation and fierce competition between different sports, coaches and sports school representatives told LSM.lv.

A key factor in successfully attracting young talents in the regions is not only municipal support but also the dedication of coaches, who regularly visit educational institutions to spark children's interest in hockey. While the sport remains costly for parents, various approaches are being explored to make it more accessible.
