Reišulis Brothers Secure Top Four Finish in MX2 at Czech GP

Latvian motocross riders Janis Martins Reisulis and Karlis Alberts Reisulis finished third and fourth respectively in the first MX2 race of the Czech Grand Prix on Sunday.

The Czech round of the World Motocross Championship brought success for Latvian riders in the MX2 class. Janis Martins Reisulis and Karlis Alberts Reisulis both finished in the top four on Sunday. Janis Martins took third place, while Karlis Alberts ended fourth.

The first race was won by Spain's Guillem Farres, who finished ahead of South African Camden McLellan. Janis Martins trailed the winner by 12.517 seconds, and Karlis Alberts by 13.808 seconds. Janis Martins led until lap nine, dropped to fourth on lap 15, but regained third on the final lap. Karlis Alberts started fifth and worked his way up to fourth.

In Saturday's qualifying, the Reisulis brothers placed fifth and ninth. In the MXGP class, Latvian Edvards Bidzans finished 26th, one lap behind winner Jeffrey Herlings from the Netherlands. Herlings beat French riders Romain Febvre and Tom Vialle.

Pauls Jonass did not compete in this round. He crashed in the previous event, and the Kawasaki team decided to skip this stage for his recovery. The second races for MX2 and MXGP took place later on Sunday. The world championship season consists of 19 rounds.
