Reišulis brothers finish 4th and 10th in first Swedish Grand Prix moto for MX2

Latvian motocross riders Jānis Mārtiņš Reišulis and Kārlis Alberts Reišulis competed on Sunday in round 15 of the motocross world championship, held in Sweden. In the first MX2-class moto, both brothers scored points, finishing fourth and tenth respectively.

Jānis Reišulis held third position for most of the race, leading the field through the first 12 laps, but slipped back and ultimately crossed the finish line in fourth place. Kārlis Reišulis started the moto in 15th position but climbed to tenth by the sixth lap, a spot he held through to the finish.

Winners and what's next

The moto produced a one-two finish for Belgian riders Sacha Coenen and Liam Everts, with Everts trailing the winner by 1.264 seconds. Third place went to Danish rider Camden McLellan, who finished 11.257 seconds behind the leader.

A second MX2 moto is scheduled later on Sunday in Sweden. Another Latvian rider, Pauls Jonass, will also compete in two motos in the MXGP class on the same day.

This season's motocross world championship comprises 19 rounds and will conclude in early October with the Motocross of Nations.
