Renārs Jansons heads to Italy's volleyball elite after first title in Czechia
Latvian national volleyball player Renārs Jansons spent the last two seasons in Czechia, winning silver and then his first club title, and has now signed with one of Europe's leading clubs.

Latvian national team volleyball player Renārs Jansons has spent the past two seasons playing in Czechia, achieving significant milestones in his club career. A year ago, he won a silver medal in the Czech Extraliga with his then-club, and this year he celebrated his first club title as a member of Karlovy Vary.
The achievement was made even more notable by the fact that Jansons was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the decisive final match. This recognition highlights the important role he played in his team's path to the championship title in that deciding game.
A new challenge in Italy
Following his successful spell in Czechia, Jansons spoke to LSM.lv about his impressions of playing abroad and about the journey that led to his first club title. The volleyball player also shared news of a new deal — he has signed a contract with one of Europe's leading volleyball clubs, based in Italy.
The Italian championship is considered one of the strongest volleyball leagues in Europe, meaning the move represents an opportunity for Jansons to prove himself at a higher level and continue his professional development among Europe's volleyball elite.
