Renārs Jasāns joins "Liepāja"
Latvian basketball club "Liepāja" has announced the signing of 19-year-old forward Renārs Jasāns, who previously played for "Rīgas Juniori" under the guidance of head coach Gundars Vētra.

New addition to Liepāja roster
"Liepāja" continues to build its squad for the upcoming season by adding small forward Renārs Jasāns. The 197 cm tall player spent the last two seasons with "Rīgas Juniori", where he was coached by Gundars Vētra, who is now the head coach of "Liepāja".
Impressive stats in the National League
Last season, Jasāns was the top scorer for "Rīgas Juniori" in the "Ramirent" National Basketball League. He appeared in 23 games, averaging 15.9 points per game. He also led his team in rebounds (7.0 per game) and assists (3.5 per game). Jasāns served as team captain and received the February MVP award.
Coach's assessment
Gundars Vētra, who previously worked with Jasāns, emphasized that the player has great potential and is one of the most talented in his generation. The coach stated that further progress depends on Jasāns' attitude and work ethic, but he believes the forward can become a high-level basketball player.
Jasāns was born in 2007 and previously represented "Rīgas Juniori".
