Rēzekne's «Joriks» theatre opens 36th season with comedy premiere

The Rēzekne theatre «Joriks» is launching its 36th season this autumn. The season opening takes place on Sunday, September 6, at 17:00.

For the occasion, the theatre has prepared a premiere of British playwright Ray Cooney's situation comedy, known in Latvian as «Klīniskais gadījums». This means the new season begins with the very first public performance of a newly staged production.

Ray Cooney's plays are widely known as light, entertaining comedies built around chains of misunderstandings and comic situations. Choosing such a play allows the theatre to start its new season with an upbeat offering aimed at a broad audience.

With this premiere, the «Joriks» theatre in Rēzekne officially opens its 36th season, inviting audiences to the first of the performances planned for the upcoming season.
