On Friday evening, the Latvian Football Virslīga saw a match between 'Liepāja' and RFS. RFS secured a convincing 2-0 away win, thus returning to the top of the league table.

The match was tense, and the home side 'Liepāja' were reduced to nine men after two red cards in the first half. They ended the game with only nine players on the field.

RFS's goals came from Žiga Lipuščeks in the 80th minute and Stefan Panić, who converted a penalty in the 90th minute. These goals ensured three points for RFS and their return to the top position.
