RFS Dominates in UEFA Conference League Qualifier
Latvian club RFS secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Iceland's Vestri in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round.

RFS played the first leg of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round at home on Thursday, defeating Icelandic side Vestri 4-1 (3:0) to build a three-goal advantage.
The hosts took the lead in the 18th minute when Stefan Panić won the ball in the penalty area and fired it into the visitors' net. Five minutes later, Jānis Ikaunieks doubled the lead, and before halftime, Rostand Ndjiki made it 3-0 from close range.
In the second half, Vestri pulled one back in the 64th minute through Þórður Hafþórsson, but RFS quickly restored their three-goal cushion when Darko Lemajić headed in from Ikaunieks' cross.
The return leg will be held on July 30 in Reykjavík. The aggregate winner will face either Czech club Jablonec or Croatian side Varaždin. RFS advanced past Glentoran in the first round, while Vestri had lost heavily to Qarabag.
