A Riga resident using the name Vadims shared an unpleasant experience on social media after ordering food through the Bolt Food delivery platform. In a post on Threads, he described ordering McDonald's one evening, only for the delivery to go wrong.

Order sent to the wrong place

According to Vadims, the courier, whom he believed to be from India and who spoke poor English, first delivered the order to a different address. The courier later corrected the mistake and brought the order to Vadims' door, but by then the packaging had already been damaged — cola had leaked from the sealed bag, mixing with the food inside. Vadims said the order was in no condition to be accepted, and he explained this to the courier.

Incident ends with a loud bang

Vadims said the courier pretended to put the bag back and left. A couple of minutes later, a loud bang was heard outside the door, which he linked to the bag or its contents being thrown. He documented the situation with a photo and asked other users in his post whether they had experienced similar situations.

The post prompted a broad discussion in the comments, with some users sharing similar experiences and criticizing the quality of food delivery services, while others suggested the problem lay more with the restaurant's packaging or the delivery process in general. Vadims stated that after this incident he intends to stop using the platform.
