Riga gallery hosts artist Denis Berkovsky's exhibition on Saint Il's adventures
Gallery MuseumLV and the Grata JJ cultural center in Riga are hosting artist Denis Berkovsky's solo exhibition 'Adventures of Saint Il in the Land of Children's Dreams' until November 29, 2026.
An exhibition in Riga
Gallery MuseumLV, in cooperation with the Grata JJ cultural center located at Andreja Pumpura Street 2 in Riga, is inviting visitors to a solo exhibition by artist Denis Berkovsky. Titled "Adventures of Saint Il in the Land of Children's Dreams," the show will remain open to the public until November 29, 2026.
The exhibition's title suggests the works revolve around themes of childhood and dreams, blending motifs connected to the figure of Saint Il with elements drawn from a fantastical world. It offers viewers a chance to explore the artist's visual storytelling.
Berkovsky himself describes his background as unusually diverse — he identifies as Mordvin with Jewish roots, while currently living and working in Marseille, France. This layered cultural identity provides the backdrop against which the exhibited works were created.
Grata JJ is known in Riga as a venue that regularly hosts contemporary art exhibitions and various cultural events. The partnership with Gallery MuseumLV in this instance gives the Riga public an opportunity to engage with the work of an internationally active artist whose career is largely based outside Latvia.
The exhibition is open to anyone interested in learning both about Berkovsky's personal story regarding his origins and the artistic world he has created. Detailed information about visiting hours and other practical matters is available from the organizers.
The show will remain on view in Riga for several months, giving a wider audience the chance to visit at different times before it closes at the end of November.
