New creative community club for women launched in Riga
Two Ukrainian-born women based in Riga, Aleksandra Maksimova and Darja Krikunova, have founded Creative Girls Club, a community that has already gathered over 2,000 followers. The founders say the response exceeded their expectations.

A new community project called Creative Girls Club has launched in Riga, founded by two young women originally from Ukraine who have lived in the Latvian capital for several years — Aleksandra Maksimova and Darja Krikunova.
The initiative first became publicly visible through its Instagram account, Creativegirlsclub.riga, which offers followers a range of activities. These include group walks around Riga, visits to current art exhibitions, and events aimed at supporting women's professional development.
Unexpected response
Founder Aleksandra Maksimova, 25, says she did not anticipate such a strong reaction when the club's first social media post was published. The platform now counts more than 2,000 followers and active participants.
According to Maksimova, most new members find their way to the club in a similar manner — coming across a post on social media and deciding to sign up for one of the offered events.
