Riga plans to build 732 rental flats for specialists by 2030
By 2030, Riga plans to build 732 affordable rental apartments in the Pļavnieki, Ziepniekkalns and Bolderāja neighborhoods as part of a public-private partnership programme.

The state real estate company Valsts nekustamie īpašumi (VNĪ) has announced plans to build 732 affordably priced rental apartments in Riga by 2030. Construction is planned in three districts of the capital: Pļavnieki, Ziepniekkalns and Bolderāja.
The project is being carried out under the "Rental Housing for Latvian Specialists" programme, which is based on a public-private partnership model. The initiative involves the state-owned company VNĪ together with the Ministry of Finance.
The programme's aim is to provide affordable rental housing for specialists, helping to address the issue of housing availability in the capital.
