Riga's annual "Tweed Ride" brings retro cyclists onto city streets
On Saturday, September 19, the annual "Tweed Ride" took place in Riga's Pārdaugava district, gathering owners of retro bicycles dressed to match their rides. The event was part of European Mobility Week.

On the afternoon of Saturday, September 19, Riga's Pārdaugava district hosted the annual "Tweed Ride," an event bringing together owners of vintage-style bicycles. Participants arrived not only on retro or stylized bikes but also dressed in period or themed outfits coordinated with their bicycles.
Gathering at the Botanical Garden
The event began at the University of Latvia Botanical Garden, where participants gathered to pose for photographers and show off their outfits and bicycles.
Route through the city center
After the gathering, cyclists set off through the streets of Pārdaugava, crossing the Vanšu Bridge and continuing on to the Freedom Monument. From there, the route passed through Old Riga to the Stone Bridge before finishing along Uzvaras Boulevard at the Kalnciema Quarter.
The "Tweed Ride" was held as part of the European Mobility Week program.
