Riga hosts Unicon, a gathering point for youth culture
Riga this past weekend hosted Unicon, one of the Baltics' largest geek culture festivals, drawing more than 20,000 visitors over three days. The event was covered by LSM's program «Обсудим вечером».
Over the past weekend, people in unusual costumes could be spotted on the streets of Riga — most of them were on their way to or from Unicon. The Latvian capital hosted one of the largest geek culture festivals in the Baltic region.
The festival ran for three days and attracted more than twenty thousand guests. Its program brought together a wide range of contemporary youth culture trends, uniting various subcultures and interest communities in one place.
The event was reported on by LSM's program «Обсудим вечером», which highlighted Unicon's role as a meeting point for representatives of youth culture.
