March in Riga to mark Ukraine's Independence Day
A solidarity march called the "Sunflower Path" will take place in Riga today, with participants walking from the Freedom Monument to Kronvalds Park to lay flowers at the Taras Shevchenko monument. A donation point for items needed by Ukrainian soldiers and civilians will also operate in Freedom Square throughout the day.

The association "Tavi draugi" (Your Friends) is organizing the solidarity march "Sunflower Path" for the fifth time, this year held in honor of Ukraine's Independence Day.
The march
Participants will gather at the Freedom Monument at 5:30 PM. After 6 PM, the march will proceed to Kronvalds Park, concluding with a flower-laying ceremony at the Taras Shevchenko monument. Organizers are inviting participants to bring sunflowers and use Ukrainian and Latvian symbols to express support for the Ukrainian people.
Donation point
Throughout the day, from 1 PM to 7 PM, a souvenir and donation collection point organized by "Tavi draugi" will operate in Freedom Square. Residents are encouraged to donate items needed by Ukrainian soldiers and civilians, including tea, three-in-one coffee, sweets, nuts, dried fruit, instant food, canned meat and fish, hygiene products, and men's clothing for soldiers such as socks, underwear, t-shirts, and tracksuits.
