The Riga City Council has finalized a contract for the design of a key infrastructure project—the reconstruction of the Gaisa Tilts (Air Bridge). The agreement with company "Projekts 3" is worth €487,800 (excluding VAT) and covers the development of construction design documentation as well as author supervision.

The design solutions prioritize sustainability and safety. The reconstructed bridge is expected to have a service life of at least 100 years. The scope includes traffic flow modeling, traffic management plans during construction, and improved pedestrian and cyclist facilities. New lighting and bridge maintenance infrastructure are also part of the plan.

According to the contract, the design phase will last 12 months and is to be completed by 2027. Actual construction is scheduled to be finished by 2030. The work will build on existing documentation and the bridge's architectural and artistic inventory, with room for technical improvements.

"Projekts 3" was registered in 2002 and is equally owned by Ģirts Šķupelis and Mārtiņš Roops. The company has a share capital of €88,950. Last year, it reported a turnover of €2.67 million and a profit of €291,830.
