The Riga municipality has decided to sell two historic water towers located near Vagonu Park. These structures were built in the late 19th century and originally served the city's water supply. After SIA "Rīgas ūdens" modernized the water network, the towers became redundant.

In early July, the Riga City Council passed a resolution to dispose of these industrial heritage sites. Prior to the decision, the municipality assessed whether the property was needed for its own functions.

The article explores potential buyers and future uses, ranging from a café to office spaces. It also looks at other industrial heritage objects in Riga, such as water and gas towers, and how they are currently being utilized.
