A new event will debut in Latvia's music calendar on September 18 and 19, when the Žanis Lipke Memorial hall in Ķīpsala's Ķīpsala district hosts the first "DETUNE" festival, dedicated to electronic works by Latvian composers.

Over the two-day program, audiences will be introduced to the work of more than ten Latvian composers and sound artists. The festival aims to showcase the diversity of electronic music within Latvia's professional music scene, bringing together a range of creative approaches under one program.

Limited ticket availability

Organizers say the program has been designed for a small, intimate audience — only 100 tickets will go on sale for the entire festival. This limited format is intended to foster a closer connection between listeners and performers, while offering a more intimate listening experience within the memorial's space.

"DETUNE" marks a new initiative aimed at promoting Latvia's electronic academic and experimental music scene, giving a platform to composers whose work rarely reaches wider public attention.
