Central Riga will once again come alive on Friday, September 11, with the Royal Corgi Walk, an event now held for the fourth consecutive year. The gathering pays tribute to the memory of Britain's late Queen Elizabeth II and her well-known fondness for corgis.

Aiming for a record

This year's organizers are hoping to surpass previous turnout figures, aiming to bring together more than 200 corgis at the event. The information was shared by the "Latvian Corgi Friends" association, which organizes the walk.

A growing tradition

The Royal Corgi Walk has become an anticipated annual gathering, drawing corgi owners and enthusiasts from across Latvia. Known for its colorful and cheerful atmosphere, the event is designed to honor the bond between corgis and the British monarchy, particularly recalling Queen Elizabeth II's decades-long devotion to the breed.
