For the fourth consecutive year, central Riga will host the Royal Corgi Walk on September 11. The event brings together specially dressed-up corgis and their owners, traveling from various regions of Latvia as well as neighboring countries.

This year, participants hope to top last year's achievement, when 198 corgis took part in the walk. Organizers are aiming to exceed that number and set a new record.

Activities in Kronvalds Park

After walking through the city center, participants will head to Kronvalds Park for a Royal British Tea Picnic. During the picnic, the owner of the best-dressed corgi will be determined, alongside various other activities and contests for attendees.

Guests will also have the chance to learn more about the corgi breed and responsible pet ownership, with advice available from professional dog trainers. A musical performance is planned for the park, and visitors will be able to enjoy English tea served in special porcelain cups.

The Royal Corgi Walk has become an annual tradition in Riga, drawing both dog owners and curious onlookers interested in this popular breed.
