Riga marks roof-raising ceremony for "Verde" business quarter's Building C
Construction of Building C in Riga's "Verde" business quarter is progressing faster than expected, with over a third of its space already reserved. The building is due for completion in spring 2027.
A roof-raising ceremony was held for Building C of the "Verde" business quarter in Riga's Skanste district, where construction began in September 2025. Developer "Capitalica Asset Management" reports that both construction progress and market demand are moving faster than initially anticipated — more than a third of the building's total 8,500 square meters of leasable space has already been reserved, with interest from tenants and investors continuing to grow.
Andrejus Barštis, CEO of "Capitalica Asset Management," said the strong demand for both Building C and the upcoming Building D confirms "Verde's" status as one of Latvia's leading commercial real estate projects.
Landscaping and heritage restoration
Alongside construction, work continues on landscaping the surrounding area, with greening works set to begin in mid-September. At the same time, restoration of historical heritage elements is underway, including a wooden railway guard's house that will eventually be placed on Building C's roof.
Sustainability certification
Both Building C and Building D have already received BREEAM Outstanding certification at the design stage, confirming compliance with the highest environmental standards; final certification will follow after construction assessment. Building C's architectural concept was developed by "ARHIS ARHITEKTI" together with architecture firm "Around," while construction is carried out by group company "Capitalica Industries."
Timeline and scale
Building C is scheduled for completion in spring 2027, with Building D following by the end of the same year. Once all development phases are complete, "Verde" will offer more than 50,000 square meters of Class A office space in Riga's Skanste business district, accommodating roughly 5,500 employees. The overall value of the project is estimated at around 200 million euros.
