Fallen trees halt tram traffic on routes 1 and 10 in Riga

Tram service on routes 1 and 10 in Riga has been suspended after strong winds snapped trees that then fell directly onto the tram tracks, according to public transport operator Rigas Satiksme.

With the tracks blocked by the fallen trees, passengers on these two routes should expect delays or altered service until the obstructions are cleared.

Rigas Satiksme has not yet specified how long the disruption will last or when normal tram service on the affected routes will resume.
