A serious road accident occurred on Monday around midday on the Riga bypass road near Salaspils, involving an "Audi" passenger car and a truck carrying construction debris.
According to available information, the crash was caused by a 73-year-old driver of the passenger car who pulled out onto the road without making sure it was safe to do so, leading to a collision with the truck.
