Riga women's team crushes Rēzekne 22-0
In the Latvian women's football championship, Riga FC achieved a crushing victory over Rēzekne, scoring 22 goals. Anna Belova and Kumba Zainab Brima each scored five times.

In the Latvian women's football league last weekend, Riga FC put on a dominant performance, defeating Rēzekne 22-0. The match began in the third minute with a goal by Nikola Preijere. By halftime, the Riga side had already netted nine goals, and they continued their onslaught in the second half.
During the second period, Riga was particularly prolific between the 48th and 64th minutes, scoring six goals, and added five more from the 75th to the 90th minute. The most productive players were Anna Belova and Sierra Leone's Kumba Zainab Brima, each scoring five times. Doubles were scored by Nikola Preijere, Ieva Krasnova, and Līna Kuzmina. Single goals came from Sofija Gluščuka, Signija Šenberga, Līva Šteinberga, Japanese player Minami Oi, and an own goal by Rēzekne's Arina Sazonova.
Rēzekne played the match without any substitutes, and goalkeeper Linda Vīksniņa faced a barrage of shots but could not prevent the heavy defeat. Riga FC's season has been outstanding: in nine rounds, they have scored 79 goals and conceded only one. Last year, the team won all 24 matches with a goal difference of 180:3, while this season only two games have been closer: 3-0 against RFS and 3-1 against Auda. Other matches ended 10-0, 6-0, 9-0, 5-0, 12-0, and 9-0.
In the league table, Riga FC tops with 27 points, while RFS also has 27 points but with an inferior goal difference after playing one more game. Rēzekne is at the bottom with no points and a goal difference of 0:101.
