Water temperature exceeds +20°C in many Riga swimming spots
Riga Municipal Police reports that water temperatures in several bathing sites have surpassed +20°C, with the highest at Ķīšezers (+23°C).

Water temperatures in Riga's swimming spots have exceeded the plus 20 degrees Celsius mark in many locations, according to the Riga Municipal Police. The bathing season in the capital is gaining momentum as the water warms up.
Temperature readings by beach
The highest water temperature was recorded at Ķīšezers, reaching approximately plus 23 degrees Celsius. At Bābelīte, the water temperature hit plus 22 degrees. Lucavsala beach on the Daugava River and Bolderājas quarry also reported around plus 22 degrees.
At Ķīpsala and Rumbula, the water temperature is about plus 21 degrees. Meanwhile, at Vecāķi and Daugavgrīva, the water is cooler at around plus 17 degrees. Vakarbuļļi stands at plus 19 degrees.
