Queues Form at Riga Shopping Mall Polling Stations in First Half-Hour of Voting

In the first thirty minutes after polling stations opened in central Riga, the overall atmosphere was calm, according to observations by the LETA news agency at four polling locations.

Agency representatives toured several voting stations in the capital's central district to assess how the process unfolded immediately after doors opened. Overall, voting was described as proceeding smoothly, with voters able to cast their ballots without significant delays or disruptions.

However, in contrast to this generally calm picture, polling stations located inside shopping centers already saw queues form within the first half hour. This suggests that these easily accessible voting locations are proving more popular among residents than stations situated elsewhere.

LETA conducted its observations by visiting four separate polling stations across central Riga, gathering a broader picture of the situation in multiple locations simultaneously rather than relying on a single observation point.
