In an interview on the show "R2 Hommik!", singer Rita Ray discussed her musical favorites from her early years and noted that music has the power to remind people of their own lives. She described being actively involved in sports during primary and secondary school, alongside music, and finding inspiration from athlete Maicel Uibo. Her focus was on sprinting, long jump, and high jump.

Regarding concert venues, Ray expressed a preference for alternative spaces like Paavli kultuurivabrik. She is not a fan of large stadium concerts when global stars visit Estonia, as her musical taste leans toward alternative groups performing intimate sets.

Ray acknowledged that her childhood heavily shaped her musical preferences. She still listens to Pitbull, because his songs are linked to her childhood memories. Even though she does not consider this music exceptional, it evokes strong emotions because it reminds her of the past. Similarly, the Pussycat Dolls played a big role – her school discos in lower grades were accompanied by their songs. Among Estonian artists, her favorites are Vanilla Ninja and Nexus.
