Rod Stewart announces 2027 tour will be his last
Rod Stewart, the 81-year-old British singer, has said his 2027 tour, “The Final Encore”, will be his last. It will cover the UK and Europe, though he has not ruled out one-off shows in the future.

British singer Rod Stewart, 81, has announced that his next concert tour, in 2027, will be the last of his career, The Guardian reports. He calls the tour “The Final Encore” and says it will “definitely” be his final one.
The series begins in April 2027. Shows are planned in UK cities including Belfast, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London. The tour ends in July in Hanover, Germany.
A career on the road since the early 1960s
Stewart has been touring since the early 1960s. Back then he travelled around Europe playing harmonica in a duo with folk singer Wizz Jones, and was eventually deported from Spain for vagrancy. Although he has not excluded one-off concerts in future, his career of regular touring is coming to a close with this series.
The singer promised “a bloody good show”. He said it is time to say goodbye to life on the road, and that after more than six decades, “The Final Encore” will definitely be his last tour.
Thanks to fans
Stewart said he has sung the music he loves since he was 19 and has had the privilege of taking it around the world. In his words, it has given him a life beyond anything he could have imagined. He hopes he has given audiences some good memories in return, and thanked them for making this extraordinary life possible.
