Body of diver missing since July found in sea near Roja

The body of a diver who went missing in mid-July has been found in the sea near Roja, Latvia's State Police reported on Monday.

Latvia's State Police announced on Monday, August 17, that the body of a man found in the sea near the town of Roja has been identified as a diver who disappeared in mid-July.

The diver went missing during a dive in mid-July and was not found despite an extended search effort lasting several weeks. More than a month later, his body was discovered in the sea close to Roja.

The State Police confirmed the finding but have not yet released further details about the circumstances of the discovery or the status of any ongoing investigation.
