Rolling Stones' New Album 'Foreign Tongues' Immediately Tops UK Charts

The iconic British rock band The Rolling Stones have claimed the top spot on the UK Official Albums Chart with their latest studio album 'Foreign Tongues' just one week after its release, the Official Charts Company announced on Friday.

This marks the 15th Rolling Stones album to reach number one in the UK, tying them with The Beatles, who also have 15 chart-topping albums. The only artist with more number one albums in the UK is Robbie Williams, with 16.

The band's previous album, 2023's 'Hackney Diamonds', also reached the top of the charts. The Rolling Stones first achieved a number one album in 1964 with their self-titled debut 'The Rolling Stones'.

'Foreign Tongues' has also topped the charts in several other countries. The band shared on Instagram that the album has reached number one in Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Germany. "Thank you to everyone who made this possible," the musicians said.

'Foreign Tongues' is the Rolling Stones' 25th studio album. It features contributions from several notable musicians, including Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, The Cure's Robert Smith, and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.
