Cristiano Ronaldo has departed Portugal's training camp in Copenhagen after several days of simmering tension with head coach Jorge Jesus. The disagreement grew serious enough that Portuguese Football Federation president Pedro Proença traveled personally to the Danish capital in an attempt to smooth things over, but the effort did not succeed.
Ronaldo ultimately skipped a training session and flew out of Denmark aboard his private jet. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is now expected to provide an explanation for his departure.
