Ronaldo's double powers Portugal to crushing win over Uzbekistan
Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice, becoming the first player to score in six different World Cup tournaments, as Portugal thrashed Uzbekistan 5-0.

In a World Cup group stage match played in Houston, Portugal delivered a dominant performance, crushing Uzbekistan 5-0.
Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 6th minute and added a second in the 39th minute. The 41-year-old forward etched his name in football history, becoming the first player ever to score in six different World Cup final tournaments.
Portugal continued to dominate – Nuno Mendes made it 3-0 in the 17th minute. Early in the second half, Uzbekistan defender Nematov scored an own goal in the 60th minute to make it 4-0. In the 87th minute, João Leão completed the rout.
Portugal continues its quest for a spot in the next round, while Uzbekistan faces a heavy setback.
