Ropaži municipality to rebuild Pērses Street in Berģi for €1.3 million
Ropaži municipality plans to spend €1.3 million rebuilding Pērses Street in the village of Berģi, with work carried out in three stages during 2026 and 2027.
The Ropaži municipal government has decided to invest €1.3 million in rebuilding Pērses Street in the village of Berģi, according to information published on the municipality's website. The construction work will be carried out by the company MRG ceļi.
To finance the project, the municipality plans to take out a loan of just over €1.12 million, while covering the remaining amount — around €199,000 — through its own co-financing.
Scope of work
The renovation of Pērses Street will proceed in three stages. First, street lighting will be installed, followed by construction of an asphalt roadway, and in the third stage a design project for a pedestrian and cycling path will be developed.
Plans also include rebuilding the roadway itself, setting up an effective stormwater drainage system, and eventually connecting the future pedestrian and cycling path to existing infrastructure at the intersection of Upesciems and Līgo streets.
Why the street needs rebuilding
Pērses Street is located in the part of Berģi where private house construction has been expanding rapidly in recent years. The street connects several residential areas, but its current technical condition no longer matches the growing traffic load and residents' needs.
The work is scheduled to be carried out and financed in 2026 and 2027.
According to data from Firmas.lv, MRG ceļi was registered in 2020. The company is owned in equal shares by Rolands Zarakovskis and Gusts Kaļiņins, and its share capital totals €2,800. In 2025, the company reported turnover of €11.88 million and profit of €247,770.
