Rosļikovs promises to return to Latvia day after Saeima elections
Aleksejs Rosļikovs, the former Riga City Council member who fled to Belarus, plans to return to Latvia on October 4, the day after the Saeima elections, to continue political work with the party "Stabilitātei".

The chairperson of the board of the party "Stabilitātei", Svetlana Čulkova, has announced that Aleksejs Rosļikovs, the former Riga City Council deputy who fled to Belarus, will return to Latvia on October 4, the day after the Saeima elections. He is running as the second candidate on the party's Riga list. Čulkova stated that Rosļikovs will return to immediately continue political work with the party team.
When asked whether he would return even if the party fails to enter the Saeima, Čulkova did not give a specific answer, emphasizing that the party does not even consider the possibility of failing to receive 5% support. Rosļikovs himself stated that the elections are not a finish but the start of a new phase. He claimed he will be in Latvia on October 4 to continue working for voters.
The party stressed that regardless of the results, its priority will be active work and dialogue with citizens. It was previously reported that several deputies left "Stabilitātei" earlier this year, dissolving its Saeima faction. In late May, the Riga City Council annulled Rosļikovs' council mandate because he had missed more than half of the meetings in three months.
The Riga City Court in the Latgale suburb decided to change Rosļikovs' security measure to detention and put him on a wanted list. He is accused of inciting national hatred. Rosļikovs admitted he is in Belarus and explained he did not attend the court hearing because he feared for his life after receiving phone threats. He also claimed that the State Security Service offered him a safe apartment but he refused. The court proceedings have been suspended until he is found.
