In a men's Elvi floorball league match, Rubene overturned a late deficit to beat Ķekava/RB&B 6:5 on the road, climbing to the top of the standings.

Rubene claimed a dramatic 6:5 away victory over Ķekava/RB&B in the men's Elvi floorball league, scoring the winning goal in the closing minutes after trailing late in the match. Matīss Celms scored the decisive goal.
Ķekava/RB&B took a 1:0 lead after the first period thanks to a solo effort from captain Klāvs Ziedonis-Jansons. The second period produced more goals: Kārlis Bitmanis equalized for Rubene, but the home side quickly responded with two goals from Rūdolfs Dilbergs. Mārcis Brīvulis then scored to make it 2:3, before setting up Toms Pētersons for the equalizer, leaving the score tied 3:3 after two periods.
The third period brought a dramatic finish. Artis Matīss Fogels put Rubene ahead, but Ķekava/RB&B leveled through Toms Ķeirāns while on the power play. Ziedonis-Jansons then restored the hosts' lead with a long-range shot. With about two minutes remaining, Rubene called a 30-second timeout and pulled their goalkeeper for an extra attacker. The gamble paid off: Celms first tied the game off a pass from Bitmanis, then scored the winner from the left side of the rink just 20 seconds later, forcing Ķekava/RB&B into a timeout of their own that failed to change the outcome.
The loss was Ķekava/RB&B's second of the season, while Rubene picked up another narrow win. With 13 points from seven games, Rubene now leads the standings. Ziedonis-Jansons topped the scoring for Ķekava/RB&B with four points, while Celms and Bitmanis each contributed three points for Rubene.
