Rubio does not rule out inviting Zelensky to G20 summit in Miami
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington could invite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the G20 summit in December if it would bring positive results. He said the decision rests with President Donald Trump.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said at a press conference in Atlanta that Washington could invite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the G20 leaders' summit in Miami in December. The G20 is a group of the world's largest economies. Rubio said an invitation is possible if Zelensky's participation could produce a positive outcome.
He was asked about the summit scheduled for 14–15 December, to which Russian leader Vladimir Putin has already been invited. The secretary of state stressed that it is a leaders-level meeting and the decision must be made by US President Donald Trump.
Rubio said he would not rule out the option, especially if Zelensky's attendance could lead to something positive. At the same time, he added that he had no announcements on the matter at this time.
Background
The United States invited Putin to the December G20 summit in Miami, where he could meet Trump. It was reported that Putin turned down Zelensky's proposal to hold talks on ending the war on the sidelines of the G20 summit in the United States.
