The state joint-stock company Latvian State Roads (Latvijas Valsts ceļi) has begun renovation works on the Oša bridge. The aim of the project is to improve the bridge's technical condition and ensure safe traffic infrastructure.

Scope of works

The project includes renewing the bridge's road surface and sidewalks, repairing reinforced concrete load-bearing structures, restoring the railings, fixing slope reinforcement structures, and renovating the drainage system. Construction is being carried out by the company ACBR, with completion planned by October 1, 2026.

Traffic arrangements

During construction, traffic across the bridge will be organized in a single lane. Traffic controllers will regulate movement on site if necessary. Latvian State Roads has thanked drivers and other road users in advance for their understanding and patience during the works.

Local community involvement

The company also thanked residents of Rudzāti who earlier signed a collective petition calling for the Oša bridge to be renovated. Latvian State Roads said it highly values the local community's active involvement and interest in developing infrastructure in their area, noting that citizens' initiative and constructive cooperation with responsible institutions helps bring attention to important issues and supports their resolution.
