Romania blames Russia after its military shot down a third drone on Sunday. The incident marks the third drone shot down over Romania in as many days, a further escalation for the NATO member.

The European Union expressed relief over new US tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump. A 10 percent duty will be applied on goods from the EU, respecting a threshold set under the EU-US trade deal last year.

However, the EU's fine against Google risks triggering Trump as he gears up for more tariffs. The penalty against the US tech giant comes just as Washington prepares new duties that could put last year’s fragile trade truce to the test.

Meanwhile, the EU said Trump’s new generic drug tariffs won’t hit its exports. Brussels argues its unbranded medicines are protected by last year’s EU-US trade deal struck in Turnberry, Scotland.
