Romanian F-16 shoots down second drone in two days near Ukraine border
A Romanian fighter jet destroyed another drone near the Ukrainian border, continuing a new policy of shooting down unauthorized aircraft entering its airspace.

A Romanian Air Force F-16 intercepted and destroyed a second drone in two days near the border with Ukraine, officials confirmed. The incident is part of a newly adopted policy to shoot down any unauthorized aircraft that enters Romanian airspace. Just a day earlier, the military downed a similar drone under comparable circumstances. The origin and type of the drone have not been disclosed, but the area has seen frequent incursions by Russian drones used in attacks on Ukraine. Following repeated violations, Romania decided to shift its stance and actively eliminate intruders.
