Another Russian drone has been intercepted in Romanian airspace. Defense Minister Radu Miruta announced that the drone was shot down five minutes after entering the country's airspace, 12 kilometers northeast of Sulina, over territorial waters in the Black Sea.

This marks the third such incident in three days. The drone shot down on Friday, according to investigation data, was identified as a "Shahed" model, which Russia uses in its war of aggression against Ukraine. President Nicusor Dan stated that investigations into the drones downed on Saturday and Sunday are still underway.

President Dan emphasized on platform "X" that this is unacceptable and intolerable, reminding that Romanian airspace is also NATO and European Union airspace. Russian drone incursions into Romanian airspace have been regularly recorded since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
